I’m a single mom 51, widow, 3 daughters 29, 9, and 8, raised my nephew 23 and bonus son 19.

I live with my 2 youngest daughters in Henderson, in the Inspirada area, my oldest daughter lives in the same area with her fiancé and 2 yo son. My daughters and I have been in a battle with CCSD since last school year when they were illegally removed from school due to some challenges with my 9yo. They were allowed back eventually but we’ve had a target on our back since. I want the absolute best for my children and want to bring awareness and support for other families in similar situations. I’m here to fight back, raise awareness and protect my kids, my family and others. I’m getting familiar with the community here. It looks like I need a code to access the app. Or I may be doing something wrong. I’m working on some district paperwork, finding out how and when to speak at the next school board meeting. Any advice would be appreciated. I see a couple of event and want to see about connecting and getting a plan in place for raising funds for our chapter. I am a notary public and wedding officiant and a member of the Vegas Wedding Chamber but have been in the mortgage industry for years and have sat on committees and boards. I’m going to have to block some time and readjust. While I hope to give this my all, I also hope to show my kids some discipline, dedication and some grit to important moments in our lives and helping our community while working on personal growth and struggles. As parents we face so many challenges and it truly takes a village. Isolating and dealing solo isn’t working so maybe teaching through our experiences, grief and supporting others may help.
