Roles description:

  • CCSD Research Committee - Focus on gathering and analyzing data on the Clark County School District, including policies, board meeting outcomes, and curriculum changes, to provide insight and recommendations to the group.

  • PR Director - Manages media relations, writes press releases, and handles public image for the chapter. Coordinates with the communications Director to get positive press coverage and respond to media inquiries. Recruits writers to submit letters to editors in local publications. 

  • SAC (School Advisory Council) Committee Director - Educates members about School Advisory councils and recruits candidates to run. Organizes webinars and materials to support those running for SAC positions. Tracks candidates and their progress.

  • Community Organizer - Organizes chapter events such as playdates, social meetups, and community service projects. Recruits Ambassadors to manage community events in different regions of the county. Coordinates fundraising events and works closely with the treasurer. 

  • Committee Director - Oversees all sub-committees related to specific parental rights issues. Works closely with Communications and Mail Campaign Directors to coordinate messaging. Organizes sub-committees to present updates at chapter meetings.  

  • LIBRARIAN Committee - Monitors library content, ensuring age-appropriate and balance materials, and engages with library boards on any issues of concern.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA and Communications Director - Manages social media platforms, newsletters, and communication strategies to engage and inform members.

  • MEMBERSHIP Director - Overseas recruitment and retention of members, organizes membership drives, and coordinates outreach effort.

  • WATCHDOG School District - Focuses on monitoring CCSD board meetings, public policies, directly affecting education to report back to members.

  • SECURITY and SAFETY Coordinator - Ensures safety and security at events, particularly family-focused events, liases with local law enforcement as needed.

  • TRUSTEE District Leaders - Volunteers responsible for organizing and engaging members in specific school trustee districts.

  • LEGAL and POLICY Advisor - A volunteer with legal background to help review policies, proposed legislation, and draft statements.

  • EDUCATION Curriculum Researcher - Specializes in researching and analyzing current school curricula, focusing on finding alternatives or supplements aligned with the groups values.

  • PARENT OUTREACH Committee - A team dedicated to connecting with parents across the district to build alliances and share information.

  • COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT Coordinator - Build relationships with other local community groups, businesses, and partnerships.

  • VOLUNTEER Coordinator - Manages and organizes various volunteers, ensuring everyone is assigned to tasks suited to their skills and interests.

  • MEDIA MONITORING Team - Keeps track of local and national news coverage related to M4L's mission, and reports relevant information back to the group.

  • GRANT WRITER - Focuses on applying for grants and finding funding opportunities for the organization.

  • MEMBER VETTING Coordinator - responsible for thoroughly vetting every prospective member before they join. She/He ensures the organization's mission and values by conducting background checks, interviews, and reviewing references if needed. They will also manage membership approval process and handle any concerns regarding member integrity. She/He will be crucial for maintaining the quality and trustworthiness of the group.
